Stacy Dean Shirk December 2, 1975 - June 9, 2014 Stacy Dean Shirk, age 38 of Butler, died on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Wesley Healthcare in Auburn. He was born December 2, 1975 in Auburn to Carson Shirk and Nannie (Collins) McPherson. He had worked at Kautex in Avilla. He is survived by his father, Carson Shirk of Wolcottville; step father, Andrew and Nancy McPherson of Altona; sons, Brandon, Scott and Jarod Shirk all of Garrett; brother, Scot and Heather Shirk of Garrett; half brothers, Marcus and Jacob Shirk of Wolcottville; step brothers, Kelby and Zonda Musselman of Ft. Wayne, Casey and Shannon Musselman of Berne, Adam McPherson of Fort Wayne, Greg Slone of Garrett, Jeremy, Shane and Steven Slone all of Kendallville; sisters, Teresa and Gary Hunter of Kendallville, Terry Shirk of Anderson, MO and Tammy and Jose Santacruz of Avilla; step sisters, Samantha and Chad Souder of Humble, TX, Twana McPherson of Waterloo, Shanna McPherson of Garrett, Chrissy Slone of Garrett and Amanda Gille; 16 nieces and 18 nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and step brothers, Wayne McPherson and Brian Slone. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1357 S. Randolph St, Garrett and 1 hour prior to the service. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the church with Rev. David Mix and Pastor Yvonne Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Orange Township Cemetery in Rome City. Memorials are to the family to help with expenses.
