Stan Edward Wagner age 89 of Auburn, IN passed on to be with his heavenly father on Wednesday, March 5, 2025with his family by his side. Stan was born March 15, 1935 in Decatur, IN to Stanford W. and Emma L. (Krueckeberg) Wagner. Stan married Ann Krudop on November 25, 1954 in Ft. Wayne, IN at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Stan was an engineer at Phelps Dodge- retiring in 1990 and he was a United States Army veteran.

He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church – Garrett, IN.

Stan is survived by his wife: Ann Wagner, Auburn, IN; daughter: Laura Herrick, Ft. Wayne, IN; sons: Martin Wagner, Auburn, IN; Timothy Wagner, Citra, FL; grandchildren: Karen Wagner, Garrett, IN; Marty Elaine Herrick, Ft. Wayne, IN; Melissa Herrick, New Haven, IN; great grandchildren: Lucas Vetter and Matthew Vetter, both of St. Joe, IN.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents: Stanford and Emma Wagner; sister: Patricia Hewitt and granddaughter: Cheryl Vetter.

Visitation will take place from 3-6 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN. Calling also from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1349 S. Randolph St., Garrett, IN with Rev. Keaton Christiansen officiating.

Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery – Auburn, IN
