Garrett - Tanner Boone-Bryant Smith, 5 years old, passed away at his home outside of Garrett on Wednesday Jan 23, 2019.  Tanner was born on May 15, 2013 in Auburn to WIlliam "Bud" Smith and Kayla Hall, who survive.  He was a remarkable child who's smile was infectious.  Rarely sad, Tanner loved unconditionally.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Taryn Smith at home, and a half brother, Rodney Smith of Georgetown, TX; maternal grandparents, Mark & Lee Ann Hall of LaOtto, paternal grandmother, Tracye Chandler of Georgetown, TX, maternal great grandparents Ned & Mary Hall of LaOtto, and Frank Molargik of Kendallville, and paternal great grandmother Sammye Bryant.  Also surviving are uncle, Wesley Hall of Garrett, aunts, Kelly (Calub) Simon, Hayley Hall, Missy Hall, and Audrey Hall, all of LaOtto, and Samantha Chandler of TX.  He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Billy Overall, maternal great grandmother, Maryann Molargik, and paternal great grandfather, Cecil Bryant.  Funeral service is 2:00pm Monday January 28, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 County Road 56, Garrett, with visitation from noon until service time.  Pastor Patrick Kuhlman officiating.  Burial at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Avilla.  Contributions in Tanner's memory may be directed to Riley Hospital for Children.  To sign the online  guest book or leave a condolence, visit www.thomasfuneralhome.org
