Thomas James Cole May 26, 1966 - May 10, 2013 Thomas James Cole, age 46, of Commerce City, CO., a loving husband and father, went peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 10, 2013 and now rests with his loving Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. He was born May 26, 1966 to Joseph and Bonnie Cole. Born and raised in Garrett, Indiana, he worked at Guardian Industries before following his free spirit, traveling across the country. He became an "oil man" for Schlumberger in Lafayette, Louisianna. Through hard work and dedication Tom advanced through the organization and established himself in the Denver Colorado area. Tom touched many lives during his life and was loved by all. Tom is survived by his wife, Lashawnda Stephens, and two children, Serena Salizar and Thomas Cole II, all of Commerce City, CO; his parents, Joseph and Bonnie Cole, Garrett, IN; four brothers, David (Beth) Cole, Robert (Joni) Cole, Michael Cole all of Garrett and Matthew (Abby) Cole, Avilla, IN; a sister, Amanda (Tim) Hebauf of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at Thomas Funeral Home, Garrett, IN A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Calvary Cemetery, Garrett, IN with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Donations may be made for the children's care. All checks should be made out to Thomas Funeral Home. Any donations will then be forwarded to the family.
