Vicky Marie Sumner age 42 of Garrett, IN died at 8:57 a.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the home of her sister. She was born June 18, 1975 in Auburn, IN to Esom and Candy (Blair) Sumner. Vicky was a bartender at the Garrett VFW.

Vicky was a member of the Garrett American Legion and VFW.

Vicky is survived by her mother: Candy (Don) Morningstar, Garrett, IN; father: Esom Sumner, Garrett, IN; children: Kandace Sumner, Garrett, IN; Chellsie Swonger, Garrett, IN; Dale Swonger III, Garrett, IN; Samantha Swonger, Garrett, IN; Nicolas Stotelmyer, Garrett, IN; Grandchild: Jace Parke; sisters: Kathy (Chris) Huth, Garrett, IN; Patricia Sumner, Garrett, IN; brothers: Lance Morningstar, Ft. Wayne, IN; David Morningstar, Ft. Wayne, IN; Donnie Morningstar, Auburn, IN; Esom Walters, Garrett, IN.

Vicky was preceded in death by her grandparents: Erma and Roger Blair and Hazel and Eli Sumner.

Visitation will take place from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN., with the funeral service taking place at 6 p.m.
