Virgilia "Jill" Rose Schlotterer age 69 of Garrett, IN died at 5:14 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital - Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on April 8, 1941 in Avilla to Fred and Mary E. (Biedrzycki) Schlotterer. She graduated from Avilla High School in 1959. She worked at Renaissance Publishing Company in Auburn for 15 years, retiring on April 1, 1995. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara and Robert Overy of Auburn and Susan and Daryl Severson of LaOtto; 2 Nieces; 2 Nephews; 4 Great Nieces and 6 Great Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Thomas Schlotterer and a sister, Dolores Kurtz. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56 Garrett. Memorials are to Masses
