Virginia R. Covey age 87 of Garrett, IN died Monday, June 23, 2014 in Garrett. She was born May 11, 1927 in Browns borough, TX to Joseph S. and Emily "Lucille" (Linden) Osborn. She married Robert A. Gifford on December 24, 1945 in Burnettesville, IN and he died November 11, 1971. She later married Ralph W. Covey in 1972 and he died in 1996. Virginia was a homemaker. Virginia is survived by 2 sons: Timothy Gifford, Garrett, IN; Thomas R. Gifford, Auburn, IN and a daughter: Vicky L. McCanna, Auburn, IN. She is survived by 2 brothers: James A. Osborn, Logansport, IN and Richard W. Osborn, Pardeeville, WI; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands: Robert A. Gifford and Ralph W. Covey; 2 brothers: Paul J. Osborn and Charles E. Osborn; and a sister: Phyllis J. Williams. As per Virginia's wishes - there will be no visitation or services.
