Wynema was born September 27, 1952 in Lafayette, IN to Howard Norman and Emma May (Henson) Ellis. She married Charles R. Ostman on October 16, 1971 in Renssalaer, IN. She was a homemaker and did bookkeeping part-time.

Wynema was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – Garrett, IN.

Lauderdale, FL; Adam Ostman, Portland, OR; Alex Ostman, Garrett, IN; Alan Ostman, Kendallville, IN; Gus Ostman, Ft. Wayne, IN; 3 daughters: Amber Bowers, Auburn, IN; Ana Ostman, Chicago, IL; Olivia Ostman, Garrett, IN; 7 grandchildren; 4 sisters: Rita Simmons, Chicago, IL; Connie Mauldin, Phoenix, AZ; Linda Dotson, Indianapolis, IN; Karen Hammond, Phoenix, AZ.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will take place from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Garrett, IN\

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Isenbarger officiating.

Inurnment will take place at the Calvary Cemetery Cali barium.
