Ziedonis "Sid" Taube, 69, of Garrett, IN died on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at his residence. He was born on June 1, 1938 in Latvia to Karlis and Marta (Brauns) Taube, they preceded him in death. He served in the US Army from 1959 to 1965. He married Dzidra Kupsis on August 15, 1964 in Grand Rapids, MI. She died on January 25, 2002. He retired as as Engineer from AEP after many years of service. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garrett, IN. He liked to fish and hobbied in electronics and computers. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 from 5-7 pm at Thomas Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at noon at Thomas Funeral Home. A private burial will take place in Cedar Creek Cemetery at a later date.
