Roberta E. (Eakle) Hensinger

Roberta E. Hensinger age 83 of Waterloo, IN died Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Laurels of DeKalb Nursing Home – Butler, IN. Roberta was born April 25, 1939 in Lost Creek, WV to Junior R. and Martha W. (Burtcher) Eakle. She married Robert G. Hensinger on August 19, 1974 in Garrett, IN and he died September 5, 2003.

Roberta was a homemaker and grandma.

She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the Garrett American Legion.

Roberta is survived by her 3 sons: Robert Hensinger, AZ; William (Tina) Hensinger, Ft. Wayne, IN; David (Marilyn) Denes, Auburn, IN; 2 daughters: Susan (Glen) Geiger, Hicksville, OH; Denice (Tony) High, Waterloo, IN; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents: Junior R and Martha W. Eakle; husband: Robert G. Hensinger; son: Larry Hensinger.

Services will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN 46738 with Rev. David Mix officiating.

Calling will take place from noon – 1 p.m. on Tuesday – prior to the services.

 Burial will take place in Christian Union Cemetery – Garrett, IN

Memorials are to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
