Ron Fredrick Getts

Ron Fredrick Getts age 59 of Garrett, IN died Wednesday, July14, 2021 after a long period of failing health.  Ron was born June 23, 1962 in Garrett, IN to Don Edward and Marlene K. (Feick) Getts. Ron married Kelly L. Miller on June 8, 1985 in Garrett, IN.

Ron is best known for trimming trees and was a member of the APA – American Pool Association.

Ron is survived by 3 sons: Nathan Getts, Garrett, IN; Nick (Michelle) Getts, Garrett, IN; Noah (Annessa) Getts, Albion, IN; 3 brothers: Rick (Janeen) Getts, Auburn, IN; Roger (Pam) Getts, Fremont, IN; Robb (Angie Blust) Getts, Garrett, IN.2 grandsons: Luke Getts and Easton Getts; in-laws: Larry (Mary) Miller,  Garrett, IN; Susie (Jay)Freed, Auburn, IN; Kelly’s siblings: Todd (Leigh Ann) Miller, Garrett, IN; Tracy (Chris) Hamann, Auburn, IN; Greg (Julie) Heal, Garrett, IN; Gary (Mindy) Mountz, Auburn, IN; Missy (Mike) Murley, Garrett, IN; Marcie Conkle, Garrett, IN; Gary Heal, Garrett, IN; friend: Ryan Geeting, CA; several   nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his father: Don Edward Getts; mother:  Marlene Feick Getts; nephew: Jason William Getts.

Visitation will take place from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN.

Private services will take place with burial in Christian Union Cemetery.
