Obituary
Steven L, Crager age 68 of Garrett, IN passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Steven was born May 19, 1957 in Garrett, IN to Cola and Mary-Lou (King) Crager. He married Debra L. Hatton on August 26, 1978 in LaOtto, IN and she survives in Garrett.
Steven worked as a process engineer for Phoenix America – Ft. Wayne, IN – retiring in 2019.
Steven is survived by his wife: Debra L. Crager, Garrett, IN; 3 sons: Adam L. Creager, Kendallville, IN; Justin L. Crager; Garrett, IN; Chase L. (Erin) Crager, Garrett, IN; 3 grandchildren; brother Edward Crager, Garrett, IN; 2 sisters: Jo (Dwayne) Colgan, Auburn, IN; Kaye Keen, Auburn, IN.
A graveside memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 at Christian Union Cemetery - Garrett, IN with Brother Bud Owen officiating.
Memorials are to the DeKalb County Humane Shelter.
