Zachary Austin McKinley age 28 of Garrett, IN died Monday, May 4, 2020. Zachary was born October 16, 1991 in Fort Wayne, IN to Steven D. McKinley and Donna M. Trufant. Zachary was a graduate of Garrett High School – Class of 2010. He worked at Griffith Rubber Mills.

Zachary is survived by his mother and step-father: Donna and John Grogg, LaOtto, IN; father: Steven McKinley, New Haven, IN; grandparents: Patricia Trufant, Coldwater, MI; Alice Loretta Buckles, Ft. Wayne, IN; sisters: Deidre M. Trufant, AL and Amanda R. Grogg, LaOtto, IN; brother: Christopher W. McKinley, Ft. Wayne, IN

Preceded in death by his grandfathers: Larry McKinley and Richard E. Trufant

Due to restrictions on public gatherings due to the COVID-19 virus, Visitation will be limited to 25 people at a time. People may be asked to wait outside on the parking lot while practicing social distancing until they are admitted in.

Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN

Private family services will take place with Pastor Tom Wilcoxson and Pastor Andy Foster officiating.

Burial will take place in Cedar Creek Cemetery – rural Garrett.

Memorials are to Thomas Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
