Our Funeral home was built in 1998. Everything is on one level and handicap accessible and tastefully decorated. We have 2 viewing areas, a children's room and a family lounge.

Tom always wanted to own his own funeral home and that is what brought him to Garrett, IN in 1988. Tom's attempt to buy the funeral home he was working for was unsuccessful because it was purchased by a large corporation from Canada in 1994. Tom was asked by many families in the area to open his own funeral home in Garrett and bring local ownership back to town. In April 1998, land was purchased on the south edge of Garrett at the intersection of S.R. 205 and S.R. 327 from the Custer family. On May 1, 1998 ground was broken for construction and on October 1, 1998 Thomas Funeral Home opened.
